Arbitrary Perl code execution via $VERSION evaluation

Eval injection in Perl Toolchain Gang Module::Metadata before 1.000015 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Perl code via $VERSION. The version extraction path parses a module file, extracts code from its $VERSION assignment, and evaluates that code to obtain the version value. Exposure requires a consuming application to process an attacker-controlled Perl module; upstream documents the evaluation as intended behavior.
