Stored XSS via unsanitized vacancy names
Published Feb 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Stored XSS in OrangeHRM 2.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script in another user's browser via a vacancy name. The recruitment/viewJobVacancy workflow stores an administrator-supplied Vacancy Name value and renders it on the vacancy page without neutralizing executable markup. An authenticated user must create or edit a vacancy, and another user must revisit the vacancy page, allowing access to data and actions available to that user's browser session.
