Stored XSS via unescaped Tools Menu item rendering
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Nagios XI before 2012R2.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The Tools Menu stores each submitted Tool Name and URL and renders the item without adequate validation or escaping. An account is required to add the item, and exploitation requires a victim to load the affected page; script runs with that victim's web-session access.
