Read-only access to restricted Auto-Discovery operations
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
Missing authorization in Nagios XI before 2012R1.6 allows remote authenticated users to access restricted Auto-Discovery operations. The Web UI/API Auto-Discovery module accepts direct requests from read-only accounts without enforcing the elevated permission required by its pages and endpoints. Read-only access is sufficient to expose discovery results and invoke discovery functions, with no user interaction required.
