Administrator RCE via executable PHP upload
Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Glossword 1.8.8 through 1.8.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via gw_admin.php. The administrative profile-image upload accepts a PHP filename and body, saves it under the web-accessible gw_temp/a/ directory, and exposes the resulting URL to the PHP handler. Exploitation requires an administrator account and standalone deployment mode; successful requests execute code with the web server process's access.
