Unauthenticated code execution via upload-and-rename extension bypass
Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in LibrettoCMS 1.1.7 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through its File Manager plugin. The adm/ui/js/ckeditor/plugins/pgrfilemanager/php/upload.php handler accepts files with permitted-looking extensions, while files.php lets unauthenticated callers rename them with a .php suffix. No account or user interaction is required; a remotely uploaded script executes in the web server's security context, allowing data access, modification, or service interruption.
