Remote PHP code execution via eval injection
Published Aug 1, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026
Eval injection in InstantCMS 1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through the search view handler. The handler concatenates the untrusted look parameter into a PHP expression and passes the result to eval(), while the Cmd header carries a base64-encoded payload. An unauthenticated HTTP GET request is sufficient, and successful exploitation executes code with the web server's privileges.
