Unauthenticated root command execution via unsanitized cmd
Published Aug 1, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026
OS command injection in D-Link DIR-300 through 2.13 and DIR-600 through 2.14b01 allows remote attackers to execute shell commands as root. The unauthenticated command.php endpoint passes the cmd POST parameter to a shell without access control or input validation. No authentication is required, and successful exploitation grants control over router data, configuration, services, and availability.
