Root code execution via SQL injection and upload
Published Jul 31, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026
SQL injection in NeoNova Astium VoIP PBX 2.1 build 25399 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code as root. The logon.php handler accepts a crafted user_name expression that makes its authentication query succeed, after which import.php stores attacker-supplied PHP from the importcompany field under the web root. Unauthenticated network access to the web interface is sufficient; requesting the uploaded script appends code to config.php, and an astcfgd reload executes it with root privileges.
