Authenticated script execution via unfiltered page parameters
Published Feb 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Cross-site scripting in cPanel & WHM 11.34.0 (build 8) allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The x3 clientconf.html page fails to filter the acct parameter, while detailbw.html renders an injected domain parameter without proper neutralization. Exploitation requires authenticated access and a user to load the crafted page, where the script runs with that viewer's browser privileges.
