Stored script execution via unneutralized profile fields
Published Jan 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Dokeos 2.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in other users' browsers via profile fields. main/auth/profile.php stores attacker-controlled extra_phone, extra_street, extra_addressline2, and extra_zipcode values and renders them without neutralizing active content. An account that can edit a profile is required, and exploitation occurs when another user views the poisoned profile, enabling cookie theft, sensitive-data access, or page defacement.
