IPv6 disruption via router advertisement flooding

Denial of service in Apple Mac OS X releases from 2012 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt IPv6 connectivity on the local network. The IPv6 implementation processes a flood of ICMPv6 Router Advertisement packets containing multiple routing entries until neighbor discovery stops responding. Remote attackers must share the target's local network, and the demonstrated consequence is loss of IPv6 communication rather than a host crash.
