System hang via unbounded IPv6 route updates

Denial of service in Microsoft Windows 7 and earlier allows remote attackers to hang systems via an ICMPv6 Router Advertisement flood. The IPv6 autoconfiguration path accepts each advertised router and prefix, repeatedly updating routing tables and assigning addresses until CPU and memory are exhausted. The attacker must reach the target's local IPv6 link; the flood leaves Windows unresponsive until it stops.
