Published Jan 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Information disclosure in Drupal Simplenews 6.x and 7.x allows remote attackers to read subscriber email addresses on confirmation pages. The confirmation response renders the subscribing address without masking and omits a noindex directive, allowing search engines to index exposed addresses. Confirmation must be required; the consequence is limited to disclosure of new subscribers' email addresses.
