Account creation and script execution via unsafe requests
Published Feb 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
CSRF and stored XSS in Axous 1.1.1 and earlier allow remote attackers to create administrators or execute script via crafted requests. Administrative handlers accept state-changing POST requests without anti-CSRF tokens and store unsanitized field values that later render as script. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit attacker-controlled content or to submit a payload that another administrator or site visitor later views.
