Administrator-session script execution via unsanitized product index
Published Feb 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PrestaShop before 1.4.9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script in an administrator browser. ajax.php returns the unsanitized index of the product[] POST parameter, causing attacker-supplied HTML and script to be interpreted as page content. Exploitation requires the crafted form to be submitted in an administrator browser; code runs in the site's browser context, but HTTP-only cookies block direct cookie theft.
