Remote script injection via standalone parameter
Published Jan 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer 8.6.2.16204 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script via standalone. The cgi-bin/scrut_fa_exclusions.cgi endpoint reflects the standalone parameter into HTML without input validation or character encoding. Exploitation requires a victim to request the crafted URL, enabling script execution in that victim's browser with confidentiality and integrity impact but no service interruption.
