Unauthenticated code execution via oversized SSH username
Published Aug 13, 2025 · Updated May 26, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Codeorigin Sysax Multi Server before 5.55 allows remote attackers to execute code through SSH authentication. The SSH service copies an oversized username from an authentication request into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking its length. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the service context on the Windows host.
