Unauthenticated code execution via unsanitized pfilez parameter
Published Aug 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
OS command injection in PhpTax 0.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the pfilez parameter in drawimage.php. The script passes the pfilez GET value into an exec() command used during PDF image generation without validation or shell escaping. No authentication is required; injected commands run with the web server process's privileges and can read, alter, or interrupt application data.
