Unauthenticated code execution via attacker-controlled include path
Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026
Remote file inclusion in WP Engine Advanced Custom Fields 3.5.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code without authentication. The core/actions/export.php script uses the acf_abspath POST value as an include path without restricting it to a trusted local directory. Exploitation requires the non-default allow_url_include setting, and successful code runs with the web server process's access.
