CVE-2012-10022Public exploit

Root command execution via uid-only lxsuexec check

Published Aug 1, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026

Local privilege escalation in LXCenter Kloxo 6.1.12 and earlier allows local users with uid 48 to execute arbitrary commands as root. The setuid-root lxsuexec binary accepts execution requests whenever the caller's numeric uid equals 48, then invokes an attacker-controlled command with root privileges. Reachability requires existing Apache-level code execution or another local path to uid 48; successful exploitation grants full host control.
