Script execution via unescaped 404 request URI
Published Jan 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Koala Framework before 2011-11-21 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted request URI. Kwf/Exception/Abstract.php copies the server-supplied REQUEST_URI value into the requestUri view variable for 404 pages without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a user to open an attacker-crafted URL that reaches a 404 page, enabling script execution in that page's browser context.
