Account changes via unvalidated cross-site requests
Published Jan 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in UseBB before 1.0.12 allows remote attackers to change forum data through a logged-in user's browser. The panel.php profile-update path accepts attacker-supplied POST fields without validating request origin or requiring an anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to open a crafted link or page; the resulting request can alter profile or account information with that user's privileges.
