Administrator file execution via unsanitized action parameter
Published Jan 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Local file inclusion in UseBB before 1.0.12 allows remote authenticated administrators to include and execute files through admin.php. The admin.php dispatcher incorporates the act parameter into a PHP include path without adequately sanitizing traversal sequences. Execution requires an authenticated administrator and a sources/admin_ directory, which the upstream project states is absent from a standard UseBB 1 installation.
