Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Jan 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in WebsiteBaker CMS 2.8.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The admin/media/upload.php handler accepts .htaccess, .php4, .php5, and .phtml files without blocking these server-executable extensions. Access to the administrative backend is required, after which uploaded PHP content can run with the web server's privileges and compromise the hosted site.
