VPN access via blank LDAP secondary password

Authentication bypass in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software 8.4(1) allows remote authenticated users to gain AnyConnect VPN access. The secondary-authentication path fails to reject an empty password when LDAP is selected, treating the second factor as satisfied after primary authentication succeeds. Exploitation requires valid primary credentials and an AnyConnect tunnel group configured for LDAP secondary authentication; the reported result is VPN session access.
