Application crash via freed Type 1 font reference
Published Mar 31, 2011 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Use-after-free in t1lib 5.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash applications via a PDF containing a crafted Type 1 font. The Type 1 font parser writes through a reference after its backing allocation has been freed while processing the malformed embedded font. The target application must process attacker-supplied PDF or font data; the CVE documents an application crash rather than code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
