Cross-site scripting in Nagios XI before 2011R1.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script in a victim's browser. The backend_url JavaScript link handler incorporates user-supplied input into a browser-executable link without sufficient validation or escaping. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and victim interaction, allowing the injected script to access or modify data exposed to that browser session.
