Arbitrary command execution via scriptable Exec method
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026
Command execution in RealNetworks RealArcade ActiveX 2.6.0.445 and earlier allows remote attackers to run commands via a crafted web page. The safe-for-scripting StubbyUtil.ProcessMgr control exposes Exec, which accepts attacker-controlled module and command-line strings without validation. A user must open the page in Internet Explorer with the control installed; commands run in the logged-in user's security context.
