CVE-2011-10026Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via instance_eval parameter

Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026

OS command injection in Spree Commerce before 0.50.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary server commands through its search API. The orders endpoint passes the search[instance_eval] parameter to Searchlogic, which invokes the supplied method through Ruby send and evaluates attacker-controlled shell syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation grants the application process's access to server data and commands.
