Code execution via improper .s3m parser bounds checking

Stack-based buffer overflow in MJM Software Core Player 2011 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted .s3m file. The .s3m file parser fails to enforce bounds while processing attacker-controlled file data, permitting a stack overwrite and ROP-chain execution. Exploitation requires a user to open the file; the public exploit targets Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and runs code in the player process.
