CVE-2011-10016Public exploit

Code execution via overlong ZIP entry name

Published Aug 13, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in RealNetworks NetZip Classic 7.5.1.86 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted ZIP filename. The ZIP parser in NPSYSTEM.dll copies an overlong archive entry name into a fixed-size stack buffer, overwriting control data. Execution requires a victim to open the archive, and injected code runs with that victim's privileges on Windows.
