Unauthenticated redirection to attacker-controlled sites
Published Jun 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Open redirect in the dispatcher in Vanilla Forums before 2.0.10 allows remote attackers to redirect users through crafted links. The vendor has not disclosed the request parameter or the incorrect dispatcher operation that accepts an untrusted destination. An unauthenticated remote attacker must induce a user to follow the link; the reported consequence is redirection, not direct server compromise.
