Browser script execution via unencoded ref parameter
Published Jun 1, 2023 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PsychoStats 3.2.2a allows remote authenticated users to run browser scripts through login.php's ref parameter. upload/admin/login.php passed the raw ref query value to assign_request_vars for template rendering without HTML encoding. Exploitation requires a user to open a poisoned URL, after which the injected script runs in that user's browser and can alter displayed content.
