CVE-2010-10001Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Application freeze via oversized NZB date value

Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Denial of service in Shemes GrabIt 1.7.2 Beta 4 allows remote attackers to freeze the application via a crafted NZB file. The NZB Date Parser accepts the file element's date value 1000000000000000 without rejecting or bounding it, causing import to stall. A victim must import the malicious file; the resulting hang blocks interaction and can corrupt or lose ongoing downloads until process restart.
