Password recovery via forged SIP authentication challenge

Credential exposure in Gizmo5's SIP implementation allows remote attackers to recover passwords through an offline brute-force attack. After an outbound BYE, the client accepts an attacker-supplied 407 challenge and returns a second BYE containing a Digest response derived from the password. The attacker must make the phone ring and induce the user to answer and hang up; possession of the response enables offline password guessing and subsequent account access.
