CVE-2009-20006Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via file manager upload

Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in osCommerce 2.2 RC2a and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through the administrative file manager. The admin request gate derives the current page with basename() from attacker-controlled PHP_SELF, so an appended /login.php bypasses authentication and lets file_manager.php save a .php file beneath the web root. No account is required; uploaded code runs with the web server process's permissions, allowing compromise of the store and accessible host data.
