CVE-2009-20005Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via oversized CSP argument

Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in InterSystems Caché 2009.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP GET request. UtilConfigHome.csp copies an oversized argument into a fixed-size stack buffer without bounds checking, overwriting control structures. The /csp/sys/mgr endpoint must be network-reachable; successful exploitation runs code in the Caché web-server process.
