Arbitrary file disclosure via exposed mimencode CGI
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
File disclosure in ContentKeeper Technologies ContentKeeper Web Appliance before 125.10 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. The unauthenticated /cgi-bin/ck/mimencode endpoint accepts a POST-supplied output path and source-file path, causing mimencode to write a web-accessible copy of a file outside the webroot. Network access to the appliance's HTTP service is sufficient; exploitation can expose password files and other data readable by the web-service account.
