Credential interception via unbound 802.1X certificates

Improper certificate validation in NetworkManager 0.9.x allows physically proximate attackers to intercept WPA Enterprise credentials. During 802.1X authentication, NetworkManager accepts any server certificate issued by the configured CA without binding its subject to the intended ESSID. A rogue access point using another certificate from that CA can perform a man-in-the-middle attack and capture password hashes from PEAP or EAP-TTLS sessions.
